Our story
Pastor Mark McLeod, with the support of his wife Chantel, envisioned establishing a church aimed at helping individuals connect with God to reach their full potential. Despite facing significant challenges, including losing their home to a fire and their son Landon's health issues, they felt called to pursue this mission. Interpreting these hardships as part of God's plan, they relocated from Mississippi to Virginia in 1996 to plant a life-giving church in the DC metro area. Initially named Church On The Move, the congregation held services in community centers and public schools for fourteen years before moving into their own facility in 2010. In early 2018, reflecting a renewed vision, the church rebranded as Move Church. Today, Move Church continues to focus on reaching the non-churched community by building relationships through the life-giving message of Jesus Christ.

We are so excited to announce our first step in imaging more!
With the growth that we’ve seen, we knew that we needed MORE to better serve
our members and new guests. On Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 we officially launched our 4th service!
Our service times are as follows:

INITIATIVES
parking lot
We know that parking can be an issue, we’re working on a solution. With our new parking lot, we will have less traffic between services and more spaces for you to park your car. This expanded lot will provide us with 54 new parking spaces for you and your family.
main auditorium
Tired of being asked to slide in to the middle while you’re in service? Want more opportunities to set your bag down on the chair next to you and save a seat for your friend? We’ve got you covered. Our main auditorium will be able to seat 704 people.
ONLINE PRESENCE
With this new facility, comes new opportunities! We will have top-of-the-line broadcast and video equipment that will allow us to greatly improve our Sunday morning experiences as well as our online presence around the world.
OUR KIDS
We believe in the next generation! This campaign will allow us larger Adventure Kids spaces and classrooms to provide a memorable and safe experience for your family.
