Leaving a Legacy Together

Every December, we take a sacrificial offering. This offering is one that will make an impact far greater than we will ever know. Through giving towards our yearly Legacy Offering, your family will be sowing into the lives of others and leaving a legacy for future generations.

This year, the Legacy Offering will be on Sunday December 6th. You will be able to give to the Legacy Offering any time from December 6th to the end of the year.

Our Legacy Offering is focused on 3 areas:

Local Missions

“Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight.”  James 1:27 (Message)

When you look at the life of Jesus, you will find that He was often ministering to those that the current society overlooked. Jesus didn’t just meet their spiritual needs but he also frequently ministered to them by providing for their physical needs. Following the example set by Jesus, Move Church strives to meet the spiritual needs as well as the physical needs of the residents in the Northern Virginia Area.  A portion of our Legacy Offering will go towards some of our city outreach initiatives designed to show the love of Christ in a practical way:

National Missions

“Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.”  1 Corinthians 9:22 (LB)

The Legacy Offering will also go towards national missions. Our two primary areas of focus in national missions is the Association of Related Churches and Teen Challenge.

Association of Related Churches
The primary way we reach the spiritual needs of our Nation is by helping starting new churches and strengthening existing churches. The Association of Related Churches (ARC) is a church planting organization that we support. It trains, coaches, and resources hundreds of new church plants across America every year. You can find out more about them at https://www.arcchurches.com.

Teen Challenge
We are showing the practical love of Christ at a national level is by partnering and supporting Teen Challenge. Teen Challenge is a non-profit organization that offers Christ-centered, faith-based solutions for youth, adults, and families struggling with life-controlling problems, such as addiction. You can find out more about them at http://teenchallengeusa.com

International Missions

“Jesus said to His followers, ‘Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.'”  Mark 16:15 (NCV)

Ethiopia
Move Church is strategically investing a portion of the Legacy Offering into international missions. We are partnered with Pastor Ejigu of Nazreth, Ethiopia. We have helped build a school that provides education to children from kindergarten through 6th grade. We are currently in Phase Two of the project to provide more space in the school for the many students interested in attending the school.

After we complete the elementary school project, our next goal is to help build water wells for the rest of the Nazreth community. Needless to say, we are extremely excited about the opportunity to minister to the people of Ethiopia. We believe that our investment touches the heart of our loving God (John 3:16) and responds to the call of Jesus to “go into all the world.”
